His interests include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychosis, ADHD, and personality disorders. He tailors evidence‑based pharmacological (medication), psychotherapeutic (talking therapies) and lifestyle interventions to each individual’s needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Dr Skidmore completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Sydney. He currently also works at a major teaching hospital in Sydney, while also maintaining a private practice.
Research Interests
Dr Skidmore is a published researcher with interests in evidence-based psychiatric treatments, mood disorders, and the physical health of people living with mental illness.

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (formerly classified as Autistic Disorder, Asperger’s Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Not Otherwise Specified)
- Benzodiazepine or opioid dependence
He also does not offer long term psychotherapy.
